We investigate a one-dimensional, many-body system consisting of particles interacting via repulsive, short-range forces, and moving in an overdamped regime under the effect drag force that depends on direction. That is, to right do not experience same as those left. The dynamics system, effectively described by non-linear, Fokker–Planck equation, exhibits peculiar features related way which velocity. evolution equation satisfies H-theorem involving Sq nonadditive entropy, admits particular, exact, time-dependent solutions closely related, but identical, q-Gaussian densities. departure from canonical, shape is fact one spatial dimension, contrast what occurs two or more dimensions, drag’s dependence direction entails its velocity necessarily (and severely) non-linear. results reported here provide further evidence deep connections between overdamped, systems, non-linear equations, Sq-thermostatistics.
